The People

Meet the coaches.

Championship high school coaches. College players and college coaches. Teachers. Every program is run by someone who has competed at the level your athlete is chasing, and who coaches the why behind every rep.

Founder & Director

Maeve Gallagher

A college coach at every level of the NCAA. A certified strength coach and professor. Pittsburgh, to her core.

Maeve built Gallagher Camps out of 14 years coaching college basketball, at Mount Union, Washington & Jefferson, Longwood, and Seton Hill, across every level of the NCAA. She has developed All-Americans, 1,000-point scorers, and All-Conference athletes at the Division I, II, and III levels, earned Conference Coach of the Year, and led her teams to back-to-back NCAA Tournaments. She has coached college soccer as well, and has directed camps at the University of Virginia, the U.S. Naval Academy, and every university she has worked for.

What sets her apart is everything she brings beyond the whiteboard. She is a certified strength and conditioning coach with a master's in exercise science and injury prevention and a focus in sports psychology, and a college professor. She understands the body, the mind, and how kids actually learn, and she built The Write Way, a journal-based mentoring program that pairs young girls with a mentor through their own writing, because for her, coaching has never stopped at the sport. She grew up in this city and it made her. Now she is building the place she wishes every kid here had.

“My roots are in this city. They built me up. I want to do the same.”
